Cancer Wellness Course

Every Tuesday for 5 weeks from 1:30 to 3:30pm
Starting Dates: 8th May, 17th July, 11th September and 6th November

This course introduces participants to the key areas of the wellness approach to cancer including: how to cope with cancer; lifestyle medicine; diet and nutrition; developing personal and practical resources; meditation and exercise; integrating natural medicine and complementary therapies. Informative, practical sessions and demonstrations with notes and home practices.

WEEK 2 - The Wellness approach - Lifestyle medicine
WEEK 3 - Diet and Nutrition
WEEK 4 - Developing Personal Resources
WEEK 5 - Bringing it all together - integrating lifestyle medicine and developing your wellness plan

Weekly 2 hour sessions. Cost is $150/$100 (CSA Members)

Absolute Beginners Yoga

(suitable for people with cancer & other illnesses)
Every Tuesday for 5 weeks from 6:00 to 7:00 pm followed by 'Next Step Yoga' from 7:00 to 8:00 pm
Starting Dates: 1st May, 5th June, 24th July, 28th August, 16th October and 20th November

Always wanted to try yoga? A gentle, systematic, introductory yoga course designed for absolute beginners and people with cancer or other medical conditions which may prevent them from joining regular classes and also for anyone wanting a thorough introduction to the healing art of yoga. Emphasis is on safely stretching, strengthening and relaxing.

Eating for Cancer Recovery

Every Thursday for 5 weeks from 1:30 to 3:30pm
Starting Dates: 14th June, 16th August and 25th October

An introduction to the principles of eating for cancer recovery. Course includes information and practical demonstrations of juicing, sprouting, raw food preparation. Includes juices, sprouts and food! Recipes, notes given.

WEEK 2 - Detoxification / Juicing
WEEK 3 - Optimum Nutrition / Sprouting
WEEK 4 - Whole food and raw food preparation

An Introduction to Meditation

Every Thursday for 5 weeks from 6:00 to 7:00 pm
Starting Dates: 17th May, 21st June, 26th July, 30th August, 18th October, 22nd November

A structured course where participants learn and practice simple techniques to help them concentrate better, meditate deeply, replenish energy levels, counter stress, cultivate inner peace and promote healing. Notes and home practices given (weekly 1 hour session)
