As part of our mission, Cancer Support Association offers the following anicllary services to members and to the wider community. Many of these services are free of charge and don't require prior bookings. Others involve a small fee, and may need to be booked in advance. For information about when these services are available please refer to our weekly program.
Reiki
The CSA conducts a Reiki Clinic every Tuesday each week. Reiki is a natural healing technique which helps restore balance in the body and support the body's natural healing ability.
Yoga
Gentle hatha yoga sessions are held weekly at CSA witha qualified and professional teacher. This traditional system of yoga includes gentle stretches, breathing exercises and deep relaxation. The practices are designed to restore balance to the body, mind and soul, and help you to relax and heal.
Tai Chi
Tai Chi classes are offered weekly at CSA. Tai Chi is a chinese martial art practiced in slow motion primarily for its health benefits and positive effect on general wellbeing.
Meditation
Meditation sessions are held weekly at CSA. Fully guided meditation sessions to help participants access their spiritual core. Meditation is a great healing resource which helps cultivate inner peace, acceptance and spiritual development.
Massage, Bowen Therapy
CSA offers 3-6 massage/bowen sessions per week depending on demand. Massage is deeply relaxing and nurturing and may also help the body to eliminate toxins. Bowe Therapy may help release deep tension and relieve pain. Massage & Bowen Therapy sessions must be booked in advanced.
Reflexology
Reflexology is the application of pressure, stretch and movement to the feet and hands which brings about healing and relaxation in the corresponding parts of the body. Very relaxing!
Laughter Yoga
The Laughter Club meets weekly at CSA. Laughter Yoga is a blend of deep yogic breathing, stretching, stimulated laughter exercises and cultivated child-like playfulness. Laughter enhances health and wellbeing. Lots of fun...
