Cancer Library & Online Resources

"Do not let either the medical authorities or the politicians mislead you. Find out what the facts are, and make your own decisions about how to live a happy life and how to work for a better world." ~ Linus Pauling, two time Nobel laureate (Chemistry and Peace)

If you have cancer you will quickly realise there are many unexpected costs, and if you have taken time off from employment you may be experiencing financial strain. To help offset the financial burden associated with cancer the Cancer Support Association (CSA) provides many subsidised or free services for its members and families.

To make life easier for cancer patients who may be geographically isolated, undergoing treatments which prevent them from travelling, or who just prefer to source their information and resources online, the CSA hosts this unique, interactive cancer information website which can be utilised from anywhere in the world.

Cancer Support Online features an online library and borrowing facility which instantly gives you access to the CSA's entire catalogue of cancer-related titles which you can borrow at no charge (postage costs will apply).

World-class Cancer Library
CSA has established a world-class cancer library at its Cottesloe premises, which can be accessed on the web at Cancer Support Online. The library, which is located at the CSA premises in Cottesloe, Western Australia, contains literally thousands of books on cancer, wellness, healing, nutrition, cancer therapies, and lifestyle, as well as meditation and relaxation CDs and Audio Visual resources.

The library catalogue is continually being reviewed to ensure we are able to provide the most up-to-date and useful cancer related titles for our members.

Borrow books and resources
Anyone can browse the online library catalogue, but to borrow items you will need to pay an annual membership fee of $50. The only other costs associated with borrowing items are postage costs which we will charge to your credit card.

The Moss Reports [closed reserve]
The CSA holds the entire 'Moss Reports' in closed reserve. Dr Ralph W. Moss, Ph.D. is considered one of the world's foremost cancer researchers. He has compiled and continually updates comprehensive reports on every type of cancer. You can request a Moss Report by contacting the CSA, then review them on the premises. They are not available for loan. Click here for more information about The Moss Reports

Recommended Reading List
If you have been newly diagnosed with cancer, or even if you have had the illness for sometime we believe there are some important books which may be of benefit to you. You can view our recommended reading list at our Online Library and Resource Centre. All items on the list are available for loan.

Cancer Information Counselling
There is only so much information on cancer you can read before you begin to realise that much of it conflicts and contradicts something else you may have read or been told! The CSA provides information counselling sessions to help you better understand the information presented to you, and make informed decisions about treatment and lifestyle options. Send an email to the CSA to book an information counselling session at our Cottesloe premises. Alternatively utilise the 'wellness questionnaire' or 'cancer profilers' on Cancer Support Online to help with your choices.

Become a member to borrow items
In order to borrow items from the Cancer Support Online Library and Resource Centre you will need to become a financial member of the Cancer Support Association. This involves paying an annual membership fee of $50. You can quickly and easily become a member online. Click here to become a CSA Financial Member.

There are many membership benefits including a free one day wellness seminar at CSA; a free copy of 'The China Study' by T Colin Campbell and Thomas M Campbell; a free subscriptio to Wellness magazine which will be posted to you monthly, a significant discount in our Wellness Shop, and access to our world-class library.
