supporting and empowering individuals and community toward wellness, healing and sustainable health
The Cancer Support Association is a non-profit independent organisation dedicated to providing information resources, support services and learning opportunities for healing and for the prevention of lifestyle diseases, and helping individuals make informed decisions about wellness and health so they gain a greater sense of control over their lives.
CSA is a "wellness" community based organization dedicated to a holistic and integrated approach in their provision of support services, information, self-help and healing activities to individuals diagnosed with cancer, their families and the wider community. Though the primary focus of the CSA is cancer support, attention is also given to individuals interested in wellness creation, disease prevention and in achieving a more balanced lifestyle. We aim to provide these services in a user-friendly, safe, caring and healing environment.
The wide range of activities available offers different ways for individuals to develop resources to effectively deal with their situation, incorporating a strong emphasis on environmental factors, solutions, self-help strategies and personal development. Many people find that through our support services they are able to learn the life skills that enable them to better cope with the challenges and uncertainty of a cancer diagnosis, as well as achieving a healthier lifestyle.
Most services and activities are provided within the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of the CSA building in Cottesloe, Western Australia. They are intended to improve and empower the mind, body and spirit's natural ability to heal itself and to complement orthodox medicine where appropriate.
Each of the services and activities offered are detailed on the following pages. Should you require further information, please contact us by phone (61) 08 9384 3544 or email us. You are welcome at the CSA.
You can book or register for events and activities such as the monthly Meeting the Challenge Seminars on the Events page on this website. Many of the activities featured in our weekly program do not require prior bookings.
